Land Matthew, whose real name is Landry Mathieu, is an artist whose journey is both chaotic and full of surprises. It’s like life played a song that was a little too sad, but he decided to compose something beautiful from it.
From a young age, Land knew that he was destined for music. But it took him some time to realize that he wasn’t just a singer, but also a talented composer. His voice couldn’t express everything, so he decided to let his guitar do the talking for him.
It was during his high school years that Land really began to focus on music. But with a double curriculum at the conservatory, his days were already quite busy. Add to that a heavy workload and a boarding school far from home, and you have an explosive cocktail that would have discouraged anyone.
But Land is not just anyone. Despite the challenges, he continued to work hard and compose songs. He even discovered music production with a Cubase software that must have blown his mind.
Of course, like any budding artist, he often questioned himself. But thankfully for us, he never gave up his passion. After overcoming depression and confinement, he finally found his place at the Fac de Musicologie in Lyon.
However, even after all of that, Land still felt like something was missing. It was only after moving to Montpellier and discovering a new passion for music production that he understood what he had been missing.
Today, Land Matthew is a complete artist who draws inspiration from his strongest emotions. His music is an ode to melancholy and nostalgia, but also a celebration of life and love.
